After 30 years in business, Dana had the great idea to build a full kitchen on wheels. The Absolute BBQ Express Bus made her debut in 2013 and what a debut it was. Feeding hungry horse riders at Woodside Horse Park, tantalizing the palates of corporate employees at new product launches, offering magnificent holiday parties for well-known auto manufacturers in the 7,500 person range as well as breakfast for hundreds of firemen on the line. The firestorms in 2007 fueled the fire of Dana's desire to offer a full service kitchen on wheels. Hundreds of hungry firefighters were lined up back then; now he can wheel up and roll out fresh Italian pizzas every 3 minutes from the wood burning Italian pizza oven on board or whip up juicy tri-tip sandwiches.
Little did Clark know when washing his first dish at Dad's restaurant (barely able to peak over the counter) what was in store for the rest of his career. Hats off to you Dana Clark. Visit them at www.cateringbydana.com.

Not Your Average Food Truck
Award-winning chef and entrepreneur Dana Clark brings and exciting curbside dining experience, well, just about anywhere.
Mouth watering wood fired pizzas, barbecued pork ribs rubbed with Dana Clark's own "Texas Dust" and delectable sandwiches, including tri-tip with gorgonzola spread, caramelized onions, grilled wild mushrooms and arugula are just a few of the marvelous creations that come out of the kitchen daily on the Absolute BBQ Express.
Clark, the mastermind behind Catering by Dana Fine Dining, which has been creating elegant weddings and events in the Bay Area for decades, has always been a vintage auto buff. He discovered a 1955 Flxible bus (not unlike Jay Leno's) and had it painstakingly restored and modernized (even adding the aforementioned wood-burning pizza oven) with high-tech electronics like a GPS, a back-up camera, a satellite dish, flat screen TV's and more. It was a two-year labor of love, but the results are dazzling.
With a slew of existing corporate clients, Clark is always looking for new ways to delight them. The Absolute BBQ Express is his latest innovation. "It's just plain fun," relates Clark. "We drive up and bring a mobile party, complete with great food and entertainment. We can show sporting events or music videos, whatever is right for the crowd." Thankfully, the Absolute BBQ Express is not strictly for corporate events. It can be hired for a multitude of private events as well - think pool parties, graduations, anniversaries, birthdays, even weddings with a twist...the possibilities are delicious!
